I don't intend to post a lot of Hauls on this blog, mainly because I don't normally buy a lot of books at once. That said, I did pick up these three books recently and wanted to show to you, because I'm planning on doing some upcoming posts about them.
1. Where Rainbows End by Cecelia Ahern
I recently watched the film adaption of this book, Love Rosie, with some friends and was informed by one that 'the book is better', and my curiosity was piqued. Chick-lit isn't a genre that I've read a lot of, so I'll let you know how it goes.
2. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
I read Fangirl for the first time last year, when I got it out of the library. I loved it and it was a very important book for me, so I thought that it was high time I got my own copy.
3. The Opposite of Loneliness by Marina Keegan
I distinctly remember seeing this book and being intrigued by the cover when I was working in a bookshop last summer. Afterward, I forgot about it. It was only when I heard Hannah Witton mention it in a recent video that I did some googling, read Marina Keegan's story and decided to get a copy. For those of you who may not know, Marina was a student at Yale and a very talented writer. In her final year she wrote an essay entitled The Opposite of Loneliness. Tragically five days after she graduated, Marina was killed in a car accident. After her death, her essay went viral and this book contains it and some of her other work. I know that Marina was at a very similar point in her life to me (early twenties, just finished college) when she wrote The Opposite of Loneliness and I'm looking forward to reading something by someone my own age. I'll let you know my thoughts on the book when I finish it!
And that's everything!
Till next time...
